...I kind of want one. It is a very classy looking car. I saw a contemporary LeBaron Convertible on campus yesterday, which reminded me of the TC., and I thought "I'd totally make a RWD conversion out of one."

You're not alone I want one too. Elegant and convertible

I have seen at least five of them in the last five years. They're kinda quirky, but I'm not sure I'd own one.

I'd totally rock an Allante.

I'm a big fan of the engine if it's a 2.2. If it's a 3.0 it can go pound sand.

I actually saw one on the interstate in Indiana this weekend.
My friends didn't believe me when I told them it was a Maserati.

Just skimming through Autotrader, it would seem that finding one with the 2.2 L "Maseratti" engine and a manual will be challenging.

I'd rock one if it looked like this:
Also, you got Kinja'd.

I hope to own a Cosworth 5 speed one someday. Forged piston Cosworth twincam 24V IHI turbocharged engine, getrag 5 speed, and of course glove leather.

I didn't even know they made manual versions

Apparently only around 500 or so exist. That's also all they made with the "Maserati" engine; the two were a package deal.

Definitely something to avoid if you don't have time to work on it. Not sure I'd want one either as anything other than a conversion project.

I went through a similar phase with the Trofeo and TC before realizing I had a carbon monoxide leak. I grabbed one of the TC porthole windows and use it as a paperweight. The novelty keeps the thought of owning one at bay.

This and an Allante would make a neat garage.

What gets me about the Allante is that to get the Northstar, you have to give up the charming features of the earlier models.
It's the same conundrum I faced with the ZR-1: to get the LT5, I had to give up my strong desire for the all-digital dash. D:
